Little Man's Nursery

Little by little we've pieced together this lil guy's nursery. I say "we" because we've had a lot of help!! My mom and grammee made the quilt...which could NOT have turned out more perfect! I decided it was time to get my sewing machine out...(i ordered it over a year ago and it was still in the UNOPENED box it was shipped in) and tried my hand at some burlap curtains. I love the way they turned out and the burlap added the rustic touch I was going for! Josh has jumped at every order I've barked at him ;) He's currently cutting some wood for a sweet lil DIY shelf we're making for the nursery too. He's such a handyman! And...as you may have noticed...he's added his own lil touch to the room. I was hesitant at first, but I really love the way it turned out. What I love even more is that he even cared to have his own touch! He's been so involved and excited about even the smallest things...what a good daddy right!?! :):) I'm making it a goal to start using my camera instead of my phone from here on out so I can stop posting this poor quality pics! Hold me to it ;)

Just another quick update..

We had a wonderful Christmas here at the Davis household. The little guy got spoiled! As did Josh and I. We were able to spend a lot of time with both families, which was great! It's so nice to have both of them so close!

And now for the original purpose of the post...
We have recently reached "The Final Countdown" as I like to call it. AKA the last ten weeks. The lil man's due date is approaching quickly and we couldn't be more anxious! ...or scared to death! Haha.

As of this past Thursday I'm 32 weeks along. 8 more weeks...or who knows, possibly less!! :) or more :( so far I feel great..no MAJOR complaints but I'm slowly feeling the discomfort coming on. I won't complain though...I've been very blessed with an 'easy' pregnancy so far. So here's to hoping the rest of this process continues to go just as smoothly!

And here's a few pics. I am very reluctant to post these, but I figure between my sweet smart-mouthed brother and the dear outspoken customers at the bank I have been prepared for whatever comments may be made :) haha gotta love it!!

Thanksgiving 2011

I've been sitting here in a quiet house enjoying a very active baby boy! My whole belly has just been rolling...I love him SO so so so so MUCH! It is the most amazing feeling and each day makes me more anxious for his arrival. As of today, I'm 27 weeks along..only 3 months left! I have been so lucky to have had such an "easy" pregnancy so far. I really don't have a single complaint, and I hope I didn't just *jinx* myself by saying it's been easy haha. With it being Thanksgiving and all, I've reflected a LOT on how blessed I am. (I REALLY should do that more often) This lil guy has been such a blessing in our life and has really made me very aware of all our blessings. I can't stop thanking my Heavenly Father for ALL he offers us. We are so lucky to have our home, our jobs, good health, great friends and most importantly our family! I'm so glad we made the decision to be married in the temple..it brings me great joy to know our lil guy will be born into the covenant and that we will have him for ever and ever.
-No Matter What-
Having a forever family is by far the most important thing to me. It's very intimidating to think of the responsibility we are taking on in raising one of our Heavenly Father's special little spirits in the world today. I feel that if we can teach our children the importance of family, and help them build a testimony of eternal families we will have (in even the smallest degree) succeeded in our role as parents. There's plenty more I want to teach my kids, but that right there would mean the world to me.
The 'unconditional love of a parent' is becoming very real to me and, in turn, makes me more and more grateful for my own parents and for Josh's parents. My mom is my very best friend and my daddy is my hero and the best guardian angel ANYONE could ask for! I know I can turn to either one of them for anything at all. Likewise with Josh's parents. I spend a lot of nights home alone while he is at work and, as much as I HATE being home alone, It brings me great comfort to have them right next door. They'll do anything for their family regardless of what sacrifices that might require them to make. More than anything, I'm grateful for the way they've raised their son. He is the most loving and considerate husband I could ever ask for. He goes above and beyond and he pushes himself to be better each and everyday. I can't get enough of how much he already loves this little guy. Not too long ago, he was able to start feeling baby boy kick and stretch a lot. I reflect on the pure joy in his expression often and it never fails to bring a smile to my face and sometimes, tears to my eyes (thank you hormones!).
Last but not least...I'm thankful for the Armed Forces who fight/have fought to protect and grant us the freedoms we enjoy. Having had Zach over in Afghanistan for the past year has really opened my eyes to the sacrifices our soldiers make for us. I don't know how they do it, but i'm grateful they are willing to.
I really need to be better about posting pictures, but I couldn't pass up a chance to express my gratitude on a day like today. I hope you all will have a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoy every second you have with your families!

First Comes Love.. Then Comes Marriage...

Then comes...Yep! we're expecting! :) I'm currently 12 weeks along! So far I've been very lucky to not be sick! Last week brought a spell of headaches, but so far they haven't come back around to bother me anymore! I've been very lucky so far to have an 'easy' pregnancy and I hope that continues to be the case. Josh and I are both so very excited!! I think a lot of people think it was an "oops" because we haven't been married all that long....but for the record, we definitely planned this one! We can NOT wait to meet the little one, its going to be another long 6 months(ish). My due date is February 23rd! We both feel it's a girl...but I guess only time will tell! We don't have a preference on the sex at all, just want a healthy, happy baby :) It amazes me just how much we already love baby Davis. I can only imagine how that love will continue to grow exponentially!

Just a quick lil update from the Davis home..

We bought a new vehicle. Its a 2007 Jeep Rubicon..and it's pretty sexy! :)

We had a great memorial day weekend. Aside from getting caught in the downpour while on our way home from our rzr ride! We visited dad's grave. It looked beautiful, so thanks to all who dropped by!

We finally got our grass seed planted...and its actually GROWING!! I don't know how much justice this picture will do...

And our little ones are just not little at all anymore! (i love kirras lil underbite haha)

Overall, we're happy, healthy and VERY blessed! Life is GREAT!

Married Life...

Just wanted to post a quick update...since it's been FOREVER. Married life has been busy, but I wouldn't trade it for anything. Our wedding day was perfect!! The weather did SUCK, but everyone traveled safely and things went really smoothly. I can't thank our friends and family enough for helping to pull it all together! Josh and I had a quick honeymoon to the romantic city of Salt Lake, UT! haha...we stayed at The Monaco and spent a day in Park City. We also got to see the lights at Temple Square...definitely one of my favorite parts about Christmas time! Since then we've just been busy with work and having fun when we have some free time. We went to Vegas over President's Day weekend with some friends! It was a nice break and great to have some better weather for even a short period of time. Now that things are thawing out in our neck of the woods, we're starting some home improvement projects. One of which is our fence. Let me tell ya how much fun I didn't have this morning with that one. We were fortunate enough, however, to have a guy from our ward (who is also SOMEhow related to Josh's family) come over with a post hole digger and help us out. That alone save us (and by us i mean josh) at least 2 weeks of work! So hopefully the weather will warm up enough that we can stand to be outside long enough to get it finished soon! Anyways...that's that for now, sorry there's no pictures! Hopefully I'll have some of a COMPLETED fence here soon!

Just Around the Corner..

Well, as you may have heard, we are FINALLY getting married!!!! Since we received our letter of clearance, it has been a MAD rush to get everything in order for the 18th! Our invitations gave us fits, but they finally arrived yesterday. My mom and I sat right down and began to stuff envelope after envelope! We rock and were able to get them ALL stuffed and ready to send by the end of the night. They went out today..so that has been a HUGE relief.
Josh and I have also started our temple prep. class. My previous bishop and his wife are teaching it. I LOVE them so it's a super neat experience. On Sunday, we had our interview for our temple recommends!:) I'm very very excited (and maybe slightly nervous)...I'm going this Friday!
It's been so crazy lately. But, it's making time go by faster. So...why not make myself even busier, right?! I was offered a job at the bank here in town and i took it! Yesterday was my first day of training...more of that to come and some lil online training classes to take by dec 20th. PERFECT timing...i know! But, i just couldn't pass up the offer! It's going to work really great for us once things get back to normal. So that puts me working at the bank Monday, Thursday and Friday & at the school Tuesday and Wednesday! I'll always have weekends and holidays off...!!
Anyways, that's about it for updates this time. Sorry, no pictures. Next time for SURE! Wish us luck on making it through these next 10 days! :)

Daddy's been on my mind a lot today. Looking back on this day, years ago..I can remember standing on his toes and sharing a daddy daughter dance with him on his wedding day, he kept me laughing as usual for a minute til the tears caught up with me. I wish so badly I could remember which song it was.

I sat down tonight and flipped through my journal. I came to this entry and wanted to share it...
"December 19, 2009
shopping at gateway mall and dinner with joshs fam. Kierst and James met up with us. Then we went to see lights at temple square. My mom and dad picked Josh and I up and we all went to the airport to pick up Zachy! Yay!!"

Shortly after writing this entry I inserted this..
"after we picked zach up and headed back to the truck. Daddy opened my door for me and leaned in to give me a kiss on the top of my head..which I can't say is usually like him. It's one of my last memories of him"

I miss my daddy like crazy. It's unreal to me that Christmas eve is just around the corner already. I know he's busy watching out for us kids. We've all got the best guardian angel there is..that is the one thing that brings me great comfort when I worry about my baby brother. The hard days don't come along as often but when they do they hit hard.

An End In Sight.!

There's finally a small light at the end of the tunnel! We're closing on our loan next Friday and we were told that the appraiser will be back out to the house before then. Unfortunately...he expects the rock done and and a lot of these loose ends to be tied up by then as well! UGH!! I won't even sugar coat it...this past week has definitely SUCKED!! I'm the one complaining but Josh has ton ten times the work I have! I'm so grateful for him :) He's such a hard worker..it's all i can do to get him to stop for some dinner most days. His hands are cracked and dry as sand paper from all this rock but he's still goin! What a wonderful man I have! We've also had a lot of help...MUCH needed help to get this far. So thanks again to all those who have given us a hand! Hopefully we'll get things taken care of before the appraiser shows up...keep us in your payers! Anyways... here's what it's lookin like so far! I am SO pleased with how everything looks together! I must say we did good ;)

Hooray! The pic uploader behaved today! :)

I hope you're not surprised that I've slacked off in the bloggin department again! But we do have some big news...We passed our final inspection!!! Soo..we got right on it this weekend and moved most all of my stuff in! It pretty much looks like a bomb went off haha. Therefore...I don't have extremely recent pics of the inside for ya! But! i have a handful of all our bargain shopping that i've been meaning to share! So here it goes..

This is our new couch...that came in a tiny lil box for us to put together. I wish i had a pic of the "instructions" for ya. this thing was a beast! we spent FOREVER trying to figure it out. So cross your fingers we did it right lol.

And here we have the new bed. it's not at all what we had set out to buy but it was a good deal and I'm liking it more and more all the time. I want to paint the brown wood pieces black to match a bit better.

I'm extremely proud of this baby! BRAND NEW with TAGS...Ashley Furniture... and we got it for $80. Yeah...EIGHTY BUCKS!! This desk..along with the table you'll see next were used in a model home in St. George...they ended up being stored in a lil craft store that closed down in South Jordan. Well...the building was being sold so they had to get rid of this stuff and we just so happened to be the lucky ones browsing ksl when it popped up!

And here's that table...$75 brand new but no chairs. So we're workin on that.

These barstools were another find on ksl...they're used but we got all three for $45 and they match the table perfectly!

We also got some amazing deals on our appliances. We went to Sears and picked from all the clearance items. We got over $5,000 worth of appliance for $2500. Everything we picked were just discontinued models and they were half off..!! This fridge was originally $2499...we paid $951!!

Malad had a "Scarecrow Festival/Contest" They picked a winner in the 'city' and a winner in the country based on the block with the most scarecrows. There were all sorts of scarecrows...ours was an actual scareCROW. :) we helped Josh's parents put it up at the last minute and it just so happens that our block won! We we got a big ol block party with the city winners! haha it was pretty fun!

And of course...our baby boy. We weighed him not long ago and he was 55 lbs. but the other day he was only 50...either way...he's a fatty! haha.

Now for the exciting part! We also started the rock this weekend! and i literally mean WE did it. Josh's bro-in-law came over to help us out (thank goodness) and with a crash course we just went for it. so far this is what we've got done..its WAY time consuming but we're moving pretty quickly. If Josh has his way we should have it done this week. but we'll see ;)

Kingston got his peanuts removed today. Poor baby!
It was horrible dropping him off..he just KNEW something was up.
Broke my lil heart!

Anyways...all is well, he's just a lil droopy-eyed from the anesthesia.

As for the house... Josh did some grouting today in our bathroom and they started on our well hook up. It got pretty cold and rainy though so they'll be finishing that hopefully tomorrow. That's all for now! :)

Carpet? Yes Please!

Look at me go! 2 days in a row with the updates! lol..

Anyways, our carpet was installed today...I've VERY happy with it!

My first at school was great! The boy I'm aiding is very well-behaved (thank goodness!). I told Josh last night that this would be an experience similar to "are you smarter than a 5th grader?" haha, but it hasn't been bad at all so far! I even had to help the music teacher remember the counties in Idaho for a song that they learn. (I did learn SOMETHING in 5th grade!) I mostly work with the boy in class and only have one period where we work separately from the class in another room. It just so happens that he has the same 5th grade teacher that I did! (she was feeling a little bit old as she introduced me to the class!) Overall, I'm excited for this new job and see it being very rewarding!

Now on to the whole point of blogging today...the PICTURES!

Getting Closer!

Well, once again, I've slacked off in the blog department! Which means there's plenty to write about, but I'll try to keep it as short and sweet as possible!

First of all, the HOUSE:
It's seriously almost DONE! (Well, not done, but livable--I've been told many times it will never be "DONE" and I'm believing that more and more every day!)
The laminate wood floor is done..the interior and exterior doors are installed, we have all the tile done except for the the master bathroom shower which should only be a one-day project. Carpet will be installed tomorrow as well as the septic system. Josh has pretty well got the baseboards finished, just a small portion of the hallway and main bath left...and of course the touch up work. That is more time consuming than anything! We're expecting one more visit from both the plumber and the electricians to tie everything in once the septic and well are hooked up. So what does all this mean? It means...by mid to late September we are expecting to be MOVING IN!! (Well, one of us will be haha). Anyways, here are some pics (most of which were snapped today...)

Next big thing is our ENGAGEMENT PICTURES!! all 100+ of which i LOOOOOVVEEE! Mandi did an AMAZING job! I still haven't figured out how I'm going to pick which ones to use for our announcements! I tried scrolling through them reeaaalllyy quickly and taking note of which ones really caught my eye at that speed, and i still ended up with like 20 of them. It's going to be difficult! I hate the pic uploader on here and Josh has suggested we keep them a surprise til after our announcements are sent out haha so... i'll just give ya a sneak peak of a couple.

Also, I get to go back to school tomorrow..but not as a student! haha. I got a job at Malad Elementary as an aide. I will be working with a special needs child on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I can't deny that I'm nervous to meet this boy, but I'm also VERY excited to get to know him and learn from him. I'm certain he has more to teach me than i do him. I hear that's usually how it goes.

And...My best friend Mary was sealed for time and all eternity to her Best Friend on Saturday! We drove up to Rexburg for the wedding and luncheon. She was the most beautiful bride! It made me think of how lucky and grateful i am to have this gospel in my life. Nothing can compare to a temple marriage and I cannot wait for the day when Josh and I will kneel across the alter from one another and be sealed for eternity. What a blessing!

Speaking of which....We've had some complications with our temple clearance papers. :( Unfortunately, this means our countdown to October 1st is no longer. We don't want to spit out any more dates until we here FOR SURE that everything has gone through but they're telling us it should all be taken care of by the END of October and that we can start looking at dates in November. (We're thinking 11.11 but don't PLAN on it yet!!) It's been a HUGE bummer!! but...I guess all things happen for a reason and our patience is in need of some testing haha. We'll keep y'all posted, but for now...that's all we know!

PS. Our baby boy is STILL growing like crazy! He now weighs 45 LBS!!! but he is as lovable as ever! :)

Lots of Updating!

Alright...it's about time for another post! :) Seeing as it's taken me long enough to load all these stinkin pictures...I hope y'all forgive me for not writing much! Josh and I have kept ourselves plenty busy lately. As of July 1st...I no longer work at West Liberty!! Y-A-H-O-O!!!! What a relief...I can't even describe how happy I am about that. (Yes, it was THAT bad...call me a wuss if you'd like). :) Anyways...as for the house, we have insulation and the sheetrockers will be here Wednesday. The roofers will be here Thursday to finish up unless they call yet again to reschedule (We're a bit irritated with them :) ). We picked up our paint last week and the stain for our front door. (The fun part has FINALLY started!) We've also picked out our cabinets and counter tops...which I'm super stoked about! Soo...we're thinking if things go as planned...we should be done with paint by the end of the month possibly counters and the tile in the bathrooms. Keep your fingers crossed for us ;)

Well, it has been a slow process...and there's still PLENTY to be done before it will be finished, but our house if finally coming together and LOOKING like a home! We are officially done with the interior framing and should have our trusses up by the end of the week! It is SO neat to be able to WALK through our house and have the rooms and everything framed in! As if I wasn't already anxious enough for the 'fun' part..!! I've found myself spending more time just looking at it and planning on where I want to put things and how fun it will be to decorate. It's a BOY :)

yep..our baby PUPPY is a boy! :)

It has taken me forEVER to talk Josh into getting a puppy.
and he had actually told me absolutely NO big dogs.... originally :)
so...i waited it out. brought it up occasionally, hoping he would warm up to the idea.

Wasn't happening!

So last weekend i sat down and told him i would REALLY appreciate it if he would take a minute to think seriously about it. rather than just saying no no no. he spent some time looking for one that he liked (which was tiny of course). we were having a difficult time agreeing on one. i had pretty much let go of my hope for a boxer. it looked like if i wanted a puppy is was going to have to be a small one no matter what.

Well, the next morning...josh came over after work and out of the blue said, "maybe a boxer wouldn't be so bad after all...they're supposed to be REALLY good with kids."

I was like, "i'm sorry, what was that??"

Not only that, but he had already found a breeder in ogden that had some available for a decent price.

Long story short, we went down the next morning and came home with our baby boy.

I still can't believe he gave in!

Anyways, this is our baby boy. we've decided to name him Kingston. we brought him home Wednesday morning and he hasn't had an accident yet! he is such a good puppy!!

Kingston does way good in the car, he slept the entire time. After Josh dropped me off at work, Kingston still slept, but he HAD to be touching Josh. So...adorable.

And these are my boys. Yes, i know i'm spoiled....but guess what? I didn't do that to myself ;) hehe..

Vegas & Foundation!!!!

This is Josh and it is my first attempt at blogging on "OUR" blog. I hope I do what is acceptable to Ryan. HAHA. Well first of all we went to vegas for a about a week and it was great. We got to spend a ton of time together and just relax. We ate alot and sat by the pool. Unfortunately those two dont go well together, I ended up looking like a beached whale. We went to a couple shows. We went to the tournament of kings and watched jousting and got to eat a whole game hen with our bare hands. Then we went to defending the caveman, it was a show about men and women and how we are different. It was pretty funny and true. It was a lot of fun but it was hard coming back to reality. The worst part is being use to having Ryan with me every second and now we both have to be adults and go to work. But we have a lot to look forward to.

That takes me to my next "blog". The foundation walls are up and its finally starting to look like a house. I hope things start to speed up a little, which i am sure they will. Here are some pics. Alot of the pics are from places we went and alot are just silly pics. The food ones are from"hash house a go go" there food is huge and good. Then we bought 20 bucks worth of candy, ryan played with them more than she ate them. Then her feet got tired and I gave her a piggy back. That wasnt enough so we ended up trading shoes. HAHA good times. Then Ryan and me were making faces in the window of the monorail we road. It was a good time. We also stopped at that pawn shop show that is on tv "pawn stars". We watch it all the time and thought it would be cool to check out.

One Step Closer

We're one step closer on the house. We had the hole dug last week. The concrete is supposed to be started sometime this week. At first, we were told they would be here at the beginning of the week...now they're saying they'll start by the end of the week. Which is perfect cause the weather should be nice and crappy by then. Catch my sarcasm? Ha..Oh well.

On another note, Josh and I have been doing GREAT at making it to the gym at least 3 times a week. Some mornings are tough..especially when I've had to work late, which is usually the case lately. I put in at LEAST 50 hours a week. It is kickin my butt but the paychecks have been nice. In fact, I finally decided to treat myself to some shopping. We're going to Vegas at the end of the month so i felt that was a reasonable occasion for new clothes and swimming suits. For those of you that know me very well, you know i LOVE to shop. But since it's my own money I'm spending now I have been VERY frugal. I know, it's hard to believe. In the 6 (almost 7) months I've had this job, this in only the 2nd time I've went shopping and I've only bought the things I really loved. Aw look at me, such a grown up! Haha. Anyways, that's about all i have for y'all. Hopefully I'll have some pics of our foundation soon! :)

Bring It On!!

We have big news! Our construction loan was approved! We will be building here in Malad just down the road from Josh's parents. Now that we've been approved it's time to bring on the fun! Josh and his dad got started right away by pushing snow the other day. Our well diggers are supposed to be here Wednesday. It's gunna be a while til we get to the 'fun' stuff...gotta get past all the hole diggin and cement pouring first. I"m sure plenty of you are asking the same question I get asked all the time when I announce we're building...WHY MALAD!? Well, despite the fact that it's an hour either direction to the nearest mall, walmart or movie theater...i LOVE it here. I can't picture any other place I would rather raise my kids. I think there are so many advantages to living in a small town and going to a smaller school..and definitely more opportunities! Aside from all that...i just plain love living in the country. I spent about a year living in the city (Provo and Ogden) and i HATED it. Plus, in the Malad Valley...you have mountains no matter which direction you're facing! Here's some pics of our property.

It's official. MY blog is now OUR blog. Josh and I each had our own blogs, but neither one of them saw much action. So, we thought maybe if we just used one that might change [hint, hint ;)]
Josh and I decided we wanted to get in shape for the wedding...well, and just in general. So, we joined the gym here in Malad and today was our first workout! Let's just say, it's been a while, (for me anyways!) but I LOVE the feeling afterward and I know that for the rest of the day, I'll feel great. However, I'll be honest..my favorite part about the gym is the tanning bed. haha. I didn't go today, but you can bet I'm plannin on it. Tanning beds are like therapy to me. I know josh thinks I'm nuts...but oh well right?
Other than joining the gym, we haven't done a whole lot of planning for the wedding. Mostly just brainstorming. I happened upon a picture the other day and it has sparked some serious inspiration. I'm super excited to pick out decorations and such! And I definitely feel that I will be able to have the wedding of my dreams without spending much at all! No joke. I don't want an expensive wedding. I want it relaxed and casual. Heck, feel free to show up in jeans and a t-shirt if you'd like! :)
Also, some of Josh's friends/co-workers gave us an engagement gift and I LOVE it so I thought I would share it with you.

Well, it's dad's first birthday in heaven today. He would've been 45. I just wanted to post some pics from the time we had him here with us. It's not going to be an easy day..and i know from time to time these days will come along, but i didn't want today to go by unrecognized.

The Proposal!

Yay! We're Officially ENGAGED! :)

I figured it would be easier to just post the story/details here instead of telling and retelling the story. (Not that it isn't one of my very favorite stories anyways...just long. You understand, right?)

Well, first of all..I already knew Josh had the ring. We picked it out together a while ago. That was a story all in itself haha. We had originally picked out a different one...but i just couldn't stop thinking about this one. I didn't know how to tell him! I was so afraid he would be upset or hurt...but i finally spilled the beans. Josh was very understanding and was glad i had told him. "Ya only get one.." he said, "..and it has to be THE one!" So we got that taken care of and i continued to wait somewhat patiently. I told him I didn't care how or when he did it...but that i would prefer it be a complete surprise (since i already knew he had the ring and all).

Josh did just that!

He had so many things going on to lead up to the BIG surprise.
First of all...He had my friend Kiersten ask us to go on a double date Saturday. We were also supposed to meet up with one of his buddies and his daughter later that night at the temple to show them around and hang out. He stole one of my co-workers numbers from my phone so he could have her talk to my boss and make sure i had the weekend off. (i couldn't figure out why my boss was being so nice and giving me the weekend off...nice is not her strongest suit to say the least!) Well, Thursday rolls around and he announces he has been called in to work on Saturday and that we wouldn't be able to go on the date or meet up with his friend. I was DEVASTATED!! We usually only get to see each other on the weekends as it is and this weekend was already shortened for us because he was going to be busy moving all his stuff home Friday. Anyways, I was debating whether or not i should just volunteer to work Saturday and get my turn out of the way..which sent josh into a bit of a panic, but nobody at work let that happen. I decided to go hang out with Kiersten anyways on Saturday and agreed to meet up with Josh's buddy as well and show him around since josh 'couldn't be there'. (the fact that i'm super gullible and easy to persuade made all of this very easy on josh!)
After I hung out with Kierst and some friends, they dropped me off at the Bountiful temple to meet Josh's friend. I walked around back and couldn't find em anywhere. so i continued to walk around and finally walked in to the trap! There stood Jake (Josh's brother) videoing the whole thing. I was still a little confused until Josh appeared! He walked up to me...gave me a very sweet lil speech..and dropped to his knee. So perfect!!

But wait! The surprises didn't end there! We headed home from the temple, but josh said he needed to stop in brigham and get a few things for his mom at the store. While we were in there, he decided he was hungry. he suggested we go to Maddox cause he, "hadn't been there in forever!" So off we went. Well, when the hostess took us back to our table...there sat both our families! My mom, Step-mom, Grandparents, Josh's parents, and brother were all there waiting for us. Josh had also planned that whole thing too. He's so good at what he does ;) haha.

So there you have it. The detailed version of the proposal.

So, i bought myself a new camera and i quite like it! It's nothing too fancy, but it has provoked me to be better at actually taking pictures! Unfortunately, i haven't been so good at POSTING them for y'all! So here ya go...a little bit of everything for the past 2 months...enjoy! Back at the end of November, Josh and i baby-sat his sister's kids for bit. (I can't officially call em my nieces and nephew yet, but you get the idea!;) ) we had a lot of fun with these kiddos..

Papa Kurt and Mamma Jill on Christmas Day!

Lol i had to share this one...this is our puppy, Mupper. she's an attention hog...so we have all sorts of fun with her.

The holidays were a bit rough this year. Dad passed away on Christmas Eve. I honestly don't have the words to describe how absolutely amazing his service was. The chapel was packed...and the procession was something you had to see to believe. We counted over 20 firetrucks in the procession with their lights flashing...they surrounded the building during the service and his fellow firemen and EMS crew greeted guests at the door. Dad was given a fireman's tribute. His casket was carried on top of the firetruck and fellow firemen were the pallbearers. At the gates of the cemetery, two firetrucks held a HUGE flag between their ladders. i wish i could express how proud i was...and always will be. dad was an amazing guy. I miss him every day, but i know he's always with me. i don't know what i would do without my testimony of the gospel..especially of the plan of salvation. it has brought me so much comfort to know that this is not the end for dad. i am sealed to him forever and i know without a doubt he is mine...FOREVER. I love you more daddy!

Fall So Far..

Well i told myself i was going to be better about updating...and Josh insisted i posted some more recent pictures. (he wasn't real fond of everyone thinking he's a mountain man hehehe..:-P) Haven't been up to much really...so this post will be mostly pictures.

Josh and I went to the Dragon's Homecoming game with his family. This is me with baby kurt (Josh's nephew) He's such a stud!

Josh and i also did some pumpkin carving. we each did one for my mom. josh's is on the left, mine on the right. we carved these at like 2 a.m. after i got home from work.

here's one of the more recent happening... i managed to lock my keys in my car-along with the spare! while i was over at josh's house the other night. we're both night owls so when he's home on the weekends i usually go over after i get off work. so here we are...its about 3 a.m. Kurt, Josh and I are out in the driveway with this collection of tools to unlock my car. we did finally get it and it was definitely worth the entertainment in my opinion.

Here's a pic that looks alot more like the every day josh davis haha. just kiddin...mostly ;) he can be such a kid at times...i love it! josh is always himself around me..never shy. and i really mean never. we've gotten to know each other really well over that past few months. looking back i know i never would have pictured the two of us together..its crazy to think i was still the little girl playing on the big grass hill while he was busy being the senior football star. lol it really did come out of no where! but now that it's happened i can't picture things any other way. i know we have alot to look forward to..PLENTY of laughs for sure!

Well, it has been a bit! As you can imagine, plenty has happened...however, I just don't have time to give much detail for the past 5 months or so since I last updated. In short..

Took a trip out to NM to see Ang & Tyson with my dad...i had a ton of fun!! I can't believe home much Hunter has grown and that she's got a little brother on the way! I'm anxious for the little guy's arrival!

I moved back home to good ol' Malad!

I have a new job. I work at West Liberty Foods in Tremonton. No..it's not an ideal job by any means, but its SO much better than my last one! Still makes me want to go back to school though!

Zach graduated from basic training last month and Grammee, my mom and I flew out for that. We also got to spend some time with all our family in AL.

& last but not least...the boyfriend! <3

I just had to take a picture of this. When we first got to our hotel, I discovered this lovely welcoming gift on my headboard...yes, its someones GUM! Though I wasn't too thrilled about it I just left it there for the maid to get the next morning while we were out...it's bad enough that they managed to miss that the first time...but! it was STILL there when we got back. I was sure to leaved a note so they wouldn't "overlook" it the next time. barf!

After graduation, Zach had 3 weeks of airborne training. These are the towers he got to jump from. As far as i know, he hasn't jumped out of the planes yet but he LOVED the towers. Gotta admit, i'm pretty jealous...i think it looks way fun!!

Hey All!
